We convinced the judge to dismiss the case mid-trial due to insufficient evidence presented by the DA’s Office. But we didn’t stop there. We filed a lawsuit for wrongful arrest, and the Court of Appeal ruled in our favor. They found that the police officer’s report did not match the video footage of the incident, revealing that he had lied to justify the arrest.
